View and edit files in the browser
Files found on the internet can be viewed directly in Yandex.Browser. By default, files in supported formats open in the browser immediately after you download them. If a site owner doesn't allow you to open files in your browser automatically, the file will download to your computer instead. You can open it manually in the browser. You can control the appearance of files in your browser window as you view them and bookmark pages in ebooks.
Which types of files can be viewed?
The browser supports files and e-books with the following extensions:

Open files in the browser
When you click the link to a downloaded file, it opens automatically in the browser.

The first time you download a file in an office format, the View and edit documents page opens where you can select from several options:
- To view files in the browser, click Always open in Browser.
- If you don't want to open files in the browser, click Do not open documents in Browser.
- Open a downloaded file manually

Use one of these options:
- Open the folder with the file and drag the file to your browser window.
Edit files
You can use Yandex.Disk to edit documents, tables, and presentations that are open in the browser. Just click Edit at the top of the page. For more information, see Edit documents in Help for Yandex.Disk.

View PDF files
To change the way a file is displayed, hold your cursor in the upper half of the browser and use the icons in the viewing panel.

- Open PDF files in a different program

PDF files from the internet open in the browser by default. To open these files in a different program that is installed on your computer:
- Tap .
- Click Tools.
- In the File viewer section, disable the Open PDF files in browser option.
- Save PDF files to computer

If you want files to save to your computer rather than opening for viewing:
- Click
in the upper-right corner.
- Find any PDF in your downloads list.
- Right-click on the name of the file.
- Select Disable quick view for PDF.
Note. If you want to automatically view files after they are saved to your computer, turn on the option Open PDF files automatically on completion.
Manage fb2, fb2.zip, and epub files
- Create a bookmark in an ebook

To add a bookmark, click
in the upper-right corner of the browser (it will turn red). To remove a bookmark, click the icon again.
- Go to bookmarks list

- Click in the upper-left corner of your browser .
- Click Bookmarks.
- Go to the table of contents

Click in the upper-left corner of your browser .
- Click Table of contents.
Don't open MS Office files automatically in the browser
- Tap .
- Click Tools.
- In the File viewer section, disable the Open office documents in browser (files will be loaded to Yandex.Disk) option.
Keyboard shortcuts for changing zoom
To change the zoom on a page, use keyboard shortcuts:
- To zoom in: Ctrl + Plus.
- To zoom out: Ctrl + Minus .
- To set page zoom to 100%: Ctrl + 0.
