Protect: partial content blocking
Sometimes dangerous elements from infected resources (banners, scripts, or sidebars) or mining scripts can show up on otherwise safe sites. The Protect integrated security system is used in Yandex Browser to block these elements. The data on unsafe resources is taken from a special database compiled by Yandex and our partners.
Blocking dangerous elements
If the page in question contains elements from infected sites, Yandex Browser warns you. If you get to the page by clicking the Ignore this warning button, your browser will display the page but block the dangerous elements. The right part of the SmartBox will display the or icon.
You cannot load the blocked content, because it presents a serious risk to your computer. Because the browser only downloads secure elements, the page may be formatted incorrectly.
To disable dangerous content blocking:
- Click .
- Go to the Protect tab at the top of the page.
- In the Threat security section, turn off the Run security checks on websites and downloaded files option.
Use the same algorithm to re-enable blocking of dangerous content.
Blocking mining scripts
To prevent miners from earning money using your computer's resources, Yandex Browser blocks mining scripts from sites.
If you want to stop blocking mining scripts, disable ad filters in the browser.
